From Angyel to Marcie: A Story in Motion

Mid-Year Check-InBecause every story worth telling is still unfolding.

From Angyel to Marcie: A Story in Motion

Can you believe we’re halfway through the year?

It feels like just yesterday I hit “save” on the first few words of The Taste of Crimson: Angyel. And now—I’m deep into edits, combing through scenes with fresh eyes, shaping this story with all the tenderness (and tension!) it deserves.

Angyel’s journey has been one of rediscovery, blood and beauty, restraint and release. She’s a woman who thought her story was over—but Crimson cracked her wide open. And now, I get the gift of helping her find her way to the final page.

But the story doesn’t end there.

This summer, I’m beginning to organize the next book in the series:
The Taste of Crimson: Marcie.

Marcie is bold, bright, and complicated in all the best ways. Her story pulses with fire—friendship tested, identity reclaimed, and a deeper dive into the edges of pleasure and power. I can’t wait to explore her voice and let her take center stage.

What else is unfolding?

• I’m working on new poems—some healing, some hungry
• Planning fall content, including sneak peeks & live readings
• Building space for readers like you to connect, reflect, and maybe even share your own story

As I edit, outline, and sip too much coffee, I’m holding on to this simple truth:
The story isn’t finished.
Not for Angyel. Not for Marcie.
Not for me. And not for you.

Wherever you are at this mid-year mark—be gentle with your unfolding.

With gratitude,
Amy
